THE MOULIN DU ROCH, A SEIGNEURY ON THE EDGE OF THE SCORFF

In Arzano on the banks of the Scorff, dominated by a feudal mound, the Roch mill finds its origins in the heart of the High Middle Ages. Located in a protected natural setting, the site was the capital of the seigniory of La Roche-Moysan which stretched between the Ellé and the Scorff. EUROPEAN ARCHEOLOGY DAYS BELOW THE PLACE DES ÉCOLES

Following a diagnosis carried out in the spring of 2021, the teams of archaeologists return to Place des Écoles for an excavation lasting several weeks, in search of material remains from more or less distant times... What is hiding under the bitumen? On the occasion of the Days of Archeology, several activities will allow you to discover the archeology, the progress of the construction site and the history of the site.
