From a former savings bank to a boutique hotel
Hotel Le Vintage in Quimperlé
More than a century of history, charm and elegance
In the heart of Quimperlé's historic district, on the banks of the Ellé, the Hôtel Le Vintage invites you to discover an exceptional place, where architectural heritage and the art of hospitality meet.
The history of our establishment dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. Built in 1908 by the Lorient architect Louis-Marie Dutartre , on the site of a former outbuilding of the Saint-Pern mansion, this majestic building once housed the Quimperlé Savings Bank .
At that time, the architecture of banking establishments had to inspire confidence, solidity, and prosperity. More than a century later, the building retains all its nobility and elegance.
A remarkable facade, a testament to Quimper's heritage
A true architectural signature of the establishment, the Vintage's facade is distinguished by the richness of its ornamentation and the finesse of its details.
Two majestic lion headsThey evoke strength and protection, symbols once associated with the banking world. The delicate cast iron flower garlands bring refinement and elegance, while the rooster and ermines , accompanying the coat of arms of Quimperlé, recall the Breton identity of the building.
Its imposing cast iron balcony, its ornate ironwork and its construction in granite and dressed stone testify to the know-how of the craftsmen of the time.
This unique architecture makes Vintage much more than a hotel today: a true living witness to the history of Quimperlé .
A new life, a new story
After housing the activities of the Caisse d'Épargne, the building gradually changed its purpose to become a hotel establishment.
In 2021, Sylvain and Fabienne Le Quernec took over Le Vintage , with the ambition of restoring its full character and creating a place where every detail tells a story.
With over thirty years of experience in international hospitality, particularly in high-end establishments in Germany, Sylvain brings his high standards of service and expertise, while Fabienne contributes to the warm atmosphere and personalized decoration of the establishment.
Together, they undertook a gradual transformation of the hotel, blending vintage furniture, antique objects, Art Nouveau and Art Deco influences, and contemporary comfort.
The renovation of the facade in 2024 marks a new step in this desire to preserve and enhance the architectural heritage of the building.
Ten rooms, ten worlds to discover
Today, Le Vintage offers ten rooms, all different , carefully decorated to offer a unique experience.
The elegance of antique furniture sits alongside modern amenities, while trompe-l'œil creations by artist Thierry Quéro bring an original artistic dimension to several rooms.
Each space reflects our philosophy: to preserve the authenticity of a historic place while offering the comfort and attention of a boutique hotel.
More than a hotel, a story to share
At Vintage, we are convinced that hospitality is not just about offering a room. It is above all the art of welcoming, of conveying a story and sharing a heritage .
From the old bank of 1908 to the charming hotel of today, our house has gone through the ages without losing its soul.
Yesterday, a place of trust and prosperity. Today, a house of hospitality, charm, and conviviality.
